2007 2.0l SC Swap into a 2006 Ss 2.4l Sedan
2007 2.0l SC Swap into a 2006 Ss 2.4l Sedan
I own a 2006 chevy cobalt ss sedan 2.4l with a few mods to it it, I recently found a doner car (2007 chevy cobalt ss 2.0 SC coupe) on kijiji for a good price with a brand new motor in it rebuilt clutch and new tranny, I want to know if its possible to swap everything into my sedan. ( i like the sedan dont ask why lol and also both cars are manuals myn and the doner car)
Some info about my car
2.4l ss
AEM Cold air intake
Maganflow exhaust
manual
Info from kijiji ad about doner car
Selling my 2007 Chevy cobalt ss supercharged
145xxxkm
Car had a complete overhaul last year
-brakes front and back
-battery
-starter
-alternator
-winter tires(Bridgestone blizzaks)
-motor replaced 5000km ago
-all new gaskets and manifold
Car does run but hasn't been started for a couple months
Needs a tune up and key reprogrammed.
Stage 2 super charger
Selling for personal reasons
( he lost his license I guess and still owes 2500 on the car)
He even has the receipt for the new motor! only issues is the car has that key issue and needs to be programed but he said for 2500 he will have it deliverd to my door and he lives about 2 hours from me!
So let me know what you guys think about it! I have the extra cash, and thought instead of trying to turbo my car with 180,000kmhs on it i could just do a engine swap! This would probly be alot cheaper let me know what you guys think because I will have to jump on that deal fast before someone else buys it!
