Any idea? And be realistic!

So my b-day is around the corner and now that the bills are caught up I'm gonna go order my GMPP exhaust, the last time they said it was on back order so I got my money back after a month.

So I'm gonna go try again to get the cat back but since its my b-day why stop there? Why not order up the CA header too?

So my question is what do you all HONESTLY think I can expect from this combo? And anyone running it what did it get you? Better mpg? Is it ungoddly loud? Does it sound ricey?

Any input welcome and thanks.

BTW I'm hoping for a couple more mpg's and judging from the dyno results I've seen I'm guessing around 15 or so extra ponies. Sound about right?

I would say you are right on the hp, but I don't know what the CA header will do sound wise to the exhaust note. I know the GMPP exhaust and header sounds great together. A buddy of mine is putting down 178 with that set-up and the GM intake on a 2.4.

I just got the zzp downpipe with a high flow cat and i have the gm exhaust and it sounds good together. I don't even think it got much louder, if at all, before I got the DP. It does drive smoother though like with down shifts it doesn't crack and pop anymore. They have a header and DP combo you could get to bolt to the gm exhaust. zzp is cheaper than CA also.

Hey man i told you im runnin the same setup. gmpp performance and ca header and ca 2.5 highflow cat dp. i installed my gmpp intake and gained about 2 mpg at most and a few hps. then full exhaust and gained a few mpgs not much maybe 1mpg. and a few hps more. then installed injectors and added about 15hps with correct tuning aswell. all in total i gained from 144whp to 173whp. about 198 crank hp.

um that setup works great for sound and install. the header is a bear though about 1.5 hrs to install and the correct nut torque on those for the header is 10 ft/lbs it was i think 200 IN/LBS im not sure. but thats what the book said converts to 10^^^. anywhos check those about 3 times about 2 weeks apart each time. that whole setup you could get for 1020$ if you do it yourself total install should be about 2 or 3 hrs with 2 people.

hope i didnt skip anything.

ooh i thought you were hahn turboing jacko. if so the header and intake wont go with this setup. the turbo comes with that. well the header and piping.

need anything more let me know later.

ryan. ^^^^ this is with manual trans

not if he gets the turbo later.. then he'll just have spent an extra 1000+ install ( if he doesn't do it himself) so he needs to make up his mind really

Ya know I thought about the turbo AFTER I posted about this header, I guess it would be a waste of money wouldn't it?

So I just went and ordered the catback, I was told 2 weeks but then they said the same thing 2 months ago! Well I guess we'll see.

NHJK is the turbo guy....I'd think you would want to go bigger, but then again, who knows.

The larger the exhaust, the less backpressure, the more power he will gain on a turbo setup. He would gain max power if he had no exhaust system but that's not realistic for most people lol.
