Cool bye bye 2.4 hello supercharged

Well with this new deal GM is coming out with and it being the end of the month. I'm gonna possibly trade in my SS/NA for a SS/SC my friend will have to teach me how to drive standard. If I get the one I was looking at today I will get a sunburst orange SS/SC w/ Recaro LSD package, and I will probably get Stage 2. Well I will talk to my grandma tomorrow and see what happens.

What GM deal are you talking about, is it really enough incentive to take a loss on a $15,000+ car? If so.. do tell

Just to point out, the hit that he takes on trading the car in will most likely be less than what he would of spent upgrading his car to match the performance of the SS/SC. Especially since it is cheaper to mod the LSJ right now.

I found a used 05 SS/SC at a used car lot, right now its priced at 20k but I can get it down to about 17k-18k cuz theres a big scratch on the hood, and some other minor stuff. Plus I have family that does paint and body so if I help him do body work I can get a good price of a new paint job for around 400bucks plus paint. Also its black just like my 2.4 so all my red neons will match this one. The only loss in upgrades I will take is my stripes on the side. it. the intake I can take off and put on my moms cobalt, everything else will go on the SS/SC.

Get the 06 Orange! Awesome color. My old 2.4 was black and the orange is a lot easier to keep clean and looking sharp. I actually just ordered an orange set of LED underglow and will be installing it later today. Hopefully orange on orange looks good.

I wouldn't accept anything less than 15K for your 2.4 when you trade it in.

I have never seen a community where car owners want to trade in their brand-new cars on a different model as quickly as they do here.

Thats how GM's trying to make there money if you think about it. They want you to buy the first year model and then want to trade it in for something better. Like the Pontiac Solstice....Do you know how mnay owners are going to be pissed when the Turbo model comes out. And what do you think they are gunna do? Trade it in for the turbo and they cash in on it...GM eats thats **** up its prolly the only reason they are not bANK rupt

And just like the o5 cobalt 2.2 auto compared to the 06 2.4 SS auto......90% of people drive a auto put 2 and 2 together

well heres the low down. I'm gonna get the 05 SS/SC for 18,000, and I'm gonna get 15,000 for my 2.4SS which is pretty good cuz it has hail damage. I gotta go back with my grandma in awhile and do all the paperwork. I'm gonna have about 5000-6000 negative. Yes it is alot but if you look at it this way, Hahns turbo kit cost 4000, plus I would have to get new pistons, rods, tranny parts in the future to go with higher boost and well the SS/SC well its already built for it. I rest my case lol, tonight I will strip out all my parts off the 2.4 and probably put some of the stuff on tomorrow night on the SS/SC YEPPY!!!!

on a side note: my monthly payment will be around the same still so I'm pretty excited about that.

be honest for 18k , you can get a new 1 for 19k and 0 interest

used your gonna get raked on interest

and that interest will put you even farther under water

well it looks like I'm staying with the 2.4SS. The bank won't carry a high negative from the 2.4, but they said if it was a brand new SS/SC I could get it. The only thing is a new SS/SC w/recaro LSD package cost 24,000 and with negative it would go up 6000k so I'll just stay with my SS and see what happens.

well, do you definately want to stay with a cobalt, or are you just looking for a faster car and the cobalt is the one you want most in your price range?
