Done what on the HHR forum? you mean cam it? uh no it seems the age range for the HHR is bwtn 34-44 is where most fall and dont really care for performance there are a few and that is why i spend more time here. But i will be the fast N/A HHR very soon that i know of, the fastest 1/4 time on the site is 15.89 which i dont want to post mines yet because i want to blow that out the water so sssshhhhhhh

Im sure westers can tune that in no problem, Im using hp tuners cause I got alot more stuff goin on yet,my Bud is buying the 2.4 hhr soon, so he is paying for part of this, cause my file will be stored at the dyno tune shop, and he wants access to it There is an official thread by JBP on this so if you want to keep updated check that one out, like I said I wont have the cams back on the car for a week and the tune done shortly after

GTP the cams just came off,its a holiday here today,so they go in tomorro,He will have them the better part of the week,I do not have a dp or header.Im gonna dyno maybe tune depening what kind of money I can come up with, its 200 hun for the hp credits and the tune and dyno??? well you know,if it takes me a few weeks to get the money together I might just go to the dyno for a quick pull, but that means the cams won't be tuned in so I dont know how accurate the numbers will be,if JBP can be patient and wait two weeks Ill pay for the whole thing and get a better indication of the cams true out put

Very excited to hear the outcome of these.

btw-what would we need to raise the redline up to say 7500-7800. Springs and valves?

Yeah my tune raised it to 7000 but would like to get it bumped up higher to 7200. Most won't go any higher then that do to reliabilty issues. I would think that with the cams you could get more out of them with the higher redline but would that all depend on the grind? Hopefully someone can shed some light on this.

JBP has their own thread on this, Im sure all updates from them will be posted there, this will without a doublt be the mod that yields us 2.4 guys the greatest gains short of going turbo, grant it this is stage 1 cams, the cam shop told me to expect 25whp to 35whp, he also said if our cars were not vvti we would not yield these type of gains

Mike if you get a word with JBP ask them if they will offer springs and retainers with the higher spec cams. If they are saying these cams are stage one becuase they use stock valavetrain components then we are looking at the same redline limits.

Well Ill have the cams tomorro,I was on the phone with the cam artist and he was surprised how aggressive the cams on the 2.4 are, he said gm did a great job on them compared to the 2.2 cams, any how he said we are looking about a 10% gain or more(dont know what that translates into hp)the 2.2 guys would see greater gains with cams cause theirs is not as advanced as ours...so 10%or more might be only 20whp were looking at dont know till next week when the dyno is done

why do you think the car is gonna be that much louder, cause the designer said he could only do a 15% grind on the outlet cam but he was more agrressive with the inlet cam
