today getting on the highway i though i was in 4th gear but i was in 3rd so i hit the gas and i end up hitting the rev limiter. so i shift into 5th and the car started shacking the speed started dropping and when i hit the gas it would shake faster and try and speed up but it took it a few. so i tried to go into 4th gear and it made it worse so i went back into 5th and let the car go about 60 -70. it kept doing this for about 3 miles i was about to pull over and turn the car off and see what happen but then it went back to normal. it did this to me a few times over the summer but that was it. my dad thinks because i hit the rev limiter it set something off in the computer. but over the summer when it did it i was just driving normal getting onto the highway. any ideas what can be making the car do this? i think maybe fuel filter? i have 65k on it and never changed it. and i had alittle less then half a tank of gas to.
