I currently have the CA v1 installed with my k&n sri, and custom 2.5" axel back piping to a borla muffler and i love the way it sounds. its really deep at low rpms and does not get retarded loud in the upper rpm's either. I have a catless XTC dp that i need to install but I keep seeing threads saying that its really loud. Can this be avoided or does it only apply to people that have loud exhausts to begin with?

 

catless anything will be a little louder

 

ive heard catless on my friends rsx with a pretty decent import exhaust and his isn't really too loud imo unless he's WOT, but it makes this nice hum that i recognize from K-series motors... when i put my header and intake on i noticed a similar tone, but it wasnt ricey

 

If you put it on there it will be alittle louder, but have alot more rasp to it. Best why to fix that is to add another resantor to the exhaust.

 

resonator wont decrease performance will it?

I have a CA v1 header, XTC 2.5" de-cat downpipe, ARK N2 cat-back and an AEM CAI, and I can stand condifently with saying I likely have one of the loudest 2.4's out there.

 

by itself is the ark catback louder than the megan? My exhaust is extremely quiet as-is so im thinking it might not be too loud. I'm gonna look into another resonator tho, cuz my exhaust note is perfect imo

 

The ARK is just as loud as the Megan by itself.....little bit deeper though. Its certainly much louder than the Borla.
