Cold air intake Q?

I got a K&N Typhoon for my 2.4L sport, i was wondering how they sound idleing?? I wont have my car back for about another month so i'm just curious, i've had a K&N intake on a 99 camaro, and it didnt really sound like anything just idleing, but then i also have a K&N intake on a 08 3.9L Dodge dakota SLT... and once u start it up, you can hear the intake sucking... the camaro was a v8 and the dakota is a v6, and i've never had a 4 banger b4... so i was wondering how it sounded on the 2.4L

I have my injen as a SRI on my 2.2 and there is no difference at idle. At 3.5K RPM and up however, it's loud as hell. Nice sounding too.

I've also got the K&N installed and I have not noticed any sound when idling.

Depends if you have an exhaust or not.

If you do have an exhaust, there will be a slight increase in noise.

If not, no difference in sound until you hit the gas, and hear the SWOOSH.

lemme say this exhaust + intake = sex???? You guys must live a lonely life

^^ what's with the signature brickerenator???????????

As for the OP, no noise at idle and normal driving. Nice and loud when accelerating briskley. If you don't want any noise just accelerate like you're trying to save gas.
