Lol, his car isn't exactly emissions legal.
Not sure if he cares if I say anything, but just a straight filter right off the turbo, external gate with a straight dump, no cat, and no resonator. Also a blow through setup, so its got noise with the BOV.
Your setup Doug is a recirc setup that is emissions legal. Which means very quiet.

Haha... yes.
On the intake side, there is just a straight filter on the inlet of the turbo. Temperature isn't an issue, so we didn't bother running extra piping.
On the exhaust side, the turbo outlet runs into a custom 3" cat-less downpipe. The rest of the exhaust is straight-through 2.5" into a straight-through muffler. The wastegate is a 38mm TiAL that dumps straight out beneath the car.
And of course, as WSFrazier pointed out, it's a blow-through setup so my BOV vents to atmosphere. You can't hear it too well in these videos because they were taken before I adjusted the spring. Now that the spring tension is fixed, the BOV sounds nice, smooth, and loud.
Don't forget, I have a different turbo than the Garrett kit. Mine will sound different on the intake side. There were also a few small exhaust leaks when we took those videos.
The setup isn't back on the car yet. But when it does go back on, I want to quiet it down a tad by having a 3" exhaust put on with a better muffler, fixing every last little exhaust leak, and having the wastegate dump plumbed back into the main exhaust.
PS. It's the farthest thing from emissions-legal.

under carb, new cars dont require inspection for the first 6yrs as long as they continued to be reg'd.
the thing to worry about is being pulled over... all the smog stickers in the world wont stop mr. trigger happy from impounding you..

Oil was from a custom tapped location.

On your video, and it may just be the video. It looks like there is a red light chasing the needle on your boost guage.
Edit - I guess it could be reflection on the glass of the guage.. but it looks cool as hell, and if you don't have it, it's MY good idea now .

I see what you mean now... yeah that's just a reflection. There is a warning LED in the gauge though. When it goes past 8psi it lights up. You can set it with a button on the gauge.

I forgot to ask, is this a blow threw or draw threw setup for the MAF? How bad was it to tune the MAF? Do you know your commd AFR when entering PE? Asking because I am being nosey.

2. Extremely easy.
3. 12-1 iirc. We set it to enter PE around 95kpa regardless of throttle position or rpm.
