a guy i chill with here in calgary has it, its called the pretzel header..it does fit but its incredibly hard to install, apparently it gives the same advantage of a longtube header..... once its in its good but its such a bitch to install.

I dont understand how that could be better than the other headers. That thing looks like a knot.

I understand that concept but it doesnt seem like this one would have good air flow... To me i think the zzp would be the best.

Thumbs up the whole point

JBP's intentions for this header were to give equal length, long tube performance gains in a compact OE space requirement. Awesome idea; you get the performance gains of equal length primaries and a long tube design that can be used with the OE d/p replacements. You use that header and pick from the OE replacement styled d/p of your choice.

i understand the point ...but why bother ,

the lp640 is that way becasue..1. its a big friggen engine in a small place. and 2 its mid engine... there isnt enogh leght between the the engine and rear of the car to have a full equal lenght header streched out and a full street legel exhasust ...

and its not a full lenght header. its a shorty , made to work with the stock cat. and exhasut. im sure it dose a great job ...its just not the route i would go , if i were to spend that kind of coin, id rather buy a tru 4-2-1 full lenght header with the same kind of thought put into it as the that shorty did. and if its awsome. then why was almost 900bucks , but now theycant give the things away at 380bucks..

There is a group buy going on where it is like 389

So everyone can stop saying 900 bucks.

If you look at the road race cars they run silmilar style headers...and how isn't it a longtube?

isaid it was 900bucks but now its on sale for 380. and its a shorty with long equal length primaries.

shortys..made to be smog legal and bolt to factory exhaust.
long tubes. are normally catless. not smog legal

shorty from jba...not to be confused with jbp

long tube

the jbp is kind of a highbred of the 2....the big flaw i see is it breaks the#1 law of exhaust...use as few bends as possible. im sure sending exhaust on a roller costar ride isnt good for flow. but the trade off is the scavging affect the long primaries create.

on the same note, if you took the jbp and stretched it out(into a long tube) and got rid off most of the bends...it would most likely performs better...
... all im getting at is..if you have the room to go full ...why not just go full.
