Does anyone know???

What all kind of fabrication it would take to get a M62 to fit on our motors? Before you flame, I'm sure there's a post? But I have to leave, so I don't wanna look it up. lol If the 2.0 guys go Whipple, I'd ****** up a used one off of them. Or does anyone know if a Whipple would work on our rides too?

yea this has been talked abut before...you would need an intercooler and all custom piping to fit....but the m62 would be a perfect fit....and most iportantly youl need the proper tuning...god luck it can b done if your willing enough

lol, the hardest part would be making sure you had all the parts.... there is always some stupid little thing that you'll forget, like a pully or the belt or some other stupid thing.

Just buy the 2.0 intake manifod, injectors, belt and tensioner, intake, and s/c. That should be it for the mechanical stuff. The next thing would be to get an ECM that would read and adjust for boost.

You're looking at a custom tune at this point. No one has done this yet... but I actually think that I've decided to do this. I'm searching for all the necessary parts. Tuning will be the hard part... but I believe we can come up with something.

With that said, if anyone has information on parts, send me a PM. Otherwise I'll be searching and I'll keep you updated on my progress.

It's best to start a new topic rather than kind of chime in on an existing topic...this way a wider range of people can read and possibly answer your question rather than people only interested in the original topic.

But Welcome to the site none the less

it shouldn't take much, or any fabrication. You might have to lengthen the wiring for the TB to reach where the M62's throttle opening is, but other than that, it should be pretty straightforward bolt-in. The key is tuning, but with HPTuners, and ls2edit this isn't a problem. Just don't do the tuning yourself if you don't know what you're doing. Dyno time is still cheaper than replacing a motor.

i know your looking to go super...but i believe that a turbo will be more beneficial to our engines....the only real upgrades you can make to a suprcharger for more power would be maybe a bigger throtle body...a smller pulley and at the most xtreme case a bgger blower...which IMO would be to costly and most likely not turn out enough power in favor of the hp/$ ratio....

No offense but you can't really say it's not going to be beneficial to him when something beneficial is all preference.

none takin...what i was getting at was a turbo might be more beneficial to him because IMO you can uprgrade a turbo better han supercager...i belee tha supers are limited on power they can make(hrottle body, smller pulley, bigger blower...) thats about all you cn relly do to them...and your most likely ony gonna upgrad the blower to a bigger size cuz thats all thats offered...

What you're saying is true but the thing is we don't really know what his goal is as far as power. Maybe he wants a certain amount of power and likes superchargers and that's all he's looking to do. Not everyone wants 400 WHP beasts...most like a nice quick daily driver.

Oh, if its affordable, I wanna beast for a daily. LOL I may go turbo, but I was just trying to be a little cost effective by buying a member's replaced super. But yeah, a turbo would be a stronger power gain. Thanks for the help guys!
