Drag launch RPM's

I'm always looking for ways to go faster when I drag and get better 1/4 times. I was wondering what RPM's have given you guys the best times from launching.

That's weird I've had better luck at 4k. No ETD.

That is way to broad of a question for a true dragster to answer. So many variables go into play when you launch your car. Track Prep, Weather, Tires, Mods, and drivetrain condition.

dont slip the clutch.
launch at 2500 and get out of it as soon as you possibly can without bogging. then feed the power in.

this number will go up and down depending on prep, temp, tires, tire pressure, suspention/traction mods etc etc.

2500 rpm seems fine for me doesn't spin sometimes it "squeaks" a lil but nothing more, and I don't get crazy engine movement, I only get that on my 1-2 shift.

makes we want that ingalls thing..

i have launched best at 2200-2300 rpm. the track was not prepped whatsoever and this was the only way i got some sort of traction

you've got a stage 2 SS/SC so it's not really relevant.

btw my experience at 2500rpm was on the street on a stock 2.4 like you wanted to know.

Actually its great that you both posted because I am right in the middle of a stock SS 2.4 and an SS/SC so I can somewhat make an average out of that and go with that.
