Engine covers
Do the black plastic engine covers do anything at all? or just aestetic?
seems to me they can't do much other than make the engine operate at a lil' higher temp
safe to get rid of?

I removed mine and I never noticed any difference in engine noise.

the value cover looks like crap, polish it or get it painted or something.
the cover is just an extra 3.4lbs of "cover up" so gm doesnt have to spend the money on making the engine compartment look good.
