I believe so, hold you traction control button in for 4-5 seconds and if it says ESC off then you have it. Just push the button once more to activate it again.

I don't think Stabilitrak was introduced on the Cobalts until the '08 model year.

I don't have stabilitrac on mine and it is an '07 SS/SC. Pretty sure Illini_06SS is right in saying that stabilitrac didn't come out until '08

If you are an auto you have traction control. Put it in "L" and the "TC" light will illuminate in the center bottom of the dash -- this indicates the TC is turned off. All TC does is kill engine performance to control wheel spin...it makes the 2.4 a "dog" when trying to accellerate. Should have had a manual off-switch from the beginning...can't turn it off in "I" or "D".

I have no experience with manual 2.4s ...someone with a manual chime in...

I had no traction control in my 06 SS/NA (5 Speed Manual)

And only the 08 & 09 Cobalt SS's have ESC or Stabilitrak.

I have an 08 2.4L manual and the traction control does suck but once you push that little traction control button the car is amazing....my car only 'dogs' down obviously when TC is active but it usually doesn't hit hard, the only instance I've had is when I made the mistake of not turning it off and reving to 5k rpm once I let off the clutch the motor almost immediately went to idle rpm until it realized I had traction.

Yeah i have to agree with CobaltSport89,the ESC Blows Hard!! i have an 08' Sport Sedan 2.4l 5spd and have had nothing but issues with the ESC(Stabilitrak), in fact i am currently waiting on GM to send a factory engineer out to test my car. I drive over the Santa Cruz mountains everyday to go to work and the ESC kicks on about 4-5 times slowing me down by either hitting the brakes or cutting engine power. So i started turning the damn thing off and presto i had a completely diff car, i mean i was almost a night and day comparison in terms of handling. i am hoping that my time with the GM engineer will yield something of value. Ill keep you guys posted.

Ive honestly never had a problem with the esc. It even always the tail to rotate a bit before kicking in. Ive seen it come active on wet roads several times (lol yeah it was justified)
