Finally got tuned!!

Well, its been a long time coming, but I finally got tuned with HP Tuners. Big thanks goes out to Joe (BennyHHR) for taking the time to datalog and tune it for me. He said he was "happier than a pig in ****" at the way it turned out.

Car runs much stronger now, and my redline is now at 7,100, so once I trade my stock 17"s for some 16"s and get some dr's, its time to hit the track.

Tune really wakes the LE5 up.

Shift at 7k though....with a 7100 redline, momentum can carry the engine past 7100 by a smidgen...and it will cause float.

Yep. AEM CAI, CA v1 header, XTC 2.5" de-cat downpipe and ARK N2 cat-back.

Also, Steddy, I never bring it to the redline. My highest shift according the the datalog was 7,076, but I usually shift right around 7k now.

Not much to read up on.

You gotta mess with it to learn it.

Yeah I'm sure Joe will help ya out. He's a stand up guy.....he even gave me a folder with paperwork on what was changed on my car w/ descriptions, a business card, a cd w/ my stock tune on it, etc etc. I'm sure if you gave him a call when you do it he could walk you through it.

But yeah, the car feels great. Much smoother and stronger feeling. Can't wait to get a proper drag wheel/tire setup and go hit up the 1/4 mile

Yeah, it's something people would never expect you to say. So I'll borrow it for a little while.

You'd have to ask Joe about that. I'm in agreement with him to not share information on my tune, as he takes pride in his work and dosent want it spread around for free, which is understandable.

Just ask him and see if he'll share information on it with you.

he could get a lot more in depth if josh had a wideband available. That should be his next mod.

Glad to hear that Joe was able to get you set up. I think that you have one of the best LE5 tuners in your area. I still get in contact with Joe every once in a while to shot the **** and compare idea. Everytime I get on the phone with him I swaer I learn something new, not tuning related all the time. But Joe is full of knowledge of all things.
