Getting hesitation while accelerating

Car has 2068KM on her, almost a month old and I'm already starting to notice something. Something that my 2000 Sunfire used to do.

WHen I accelerate hard, shifting gears say from 2nd to 3rd and I'm going on the highway, around 3500 RPM's to 4500 RPMS, she hesitates, cutting out a little tiny bit, like she was slipping on ice or something and then she grabs and pulls harder again, like she's getting traction. And NO she wasn't slipping on ice

Is this a known problem in the 2.4's? I've done my searches and I found that the SS/SC's with stage 2 may have this problem as well.

Anyone have any ideas on what's going on?

It might be the VVT kicking in?! I don't notice any hesitation on mine, but you can feel it when the VVT kicks in!

Maybe...she does pull like a Freight train when the "hesitation" stops.

I have never felt any hesitation in either Cobalt. I can't see VVT being the problem. You can barely notice it anyhow. At 5K or so--I just get a little incresae in acceleration.

Okay, on the way to work, I gave her a real workout, no hesitation this time. I shifted around 5500 each time, wow, you can really notice this kick around 5K, it's like the car telling you "Go go go"!

Maybe you got some bad fuel in her. A sip of condensation in the line may have caused it. Could have been something with your spark plugs also. Just throwin out some ideas. But if she didn't have a problem this time around, I would prolly say that it was a fuel issue

I thought that too, could have been some bad gas. (I use 91).
I'm going to buy some Injection Cleaner on the way home and try a different gas station brand.

I go to the same Sunoco at all times. This way the people are used to me and I know the fuel they're puttin in, not to mention that I can get Ultra 93 from them.

I knew I made a msitake, I went from Petro-Canada and changed over to Esso this week. Funny how all this Hesitation happened when I switched gas stations.

Oh and Newfoundland only has 91, which sucks

the ss/sc issue was a problem with the old stage2 flash that caused very slight boost surge.

there is a new flash that fixed it right up, so i doubt its a related problem to the 2.4

kinda sounds like a vvt thing.
