Did it have an extra bong for an o2 sensor on it, and thus you just welded a plug in? The reason I ask is because you and I have identical 2.4L cars and since the stock manifold has the same size openings, just not extrude honed, i was wondering if there would be a large difference. Also, don't let me down man....SOUND CLIP!!!

the 'BUNG' is in the same location as the stock unit. This is the stock redline/SS unit, just honed out to flow more.

The 07 sensor isn't in the manifold, that is the difference. Do you feel it was worth the $250 it cost? I'm going to buy the GMPP Sport Exhaust, just not sure whether to get the Intake or the Manifold with it...I've heard that there isn't too much difference with the manifold to stock, so I'm leaning towards Catback and Intake. What you think BluetoGrey???

HOLY ****, you're right. I just brought up the assembly diagrams! it's in the DP pre cat!

In taht case, you just have to plug up the bung in the GMPP extrude hone manifold.

Lol, exactly. i only want to spend 600 on the CED sale, so that is why I was asking which was the best combo: intake and catback or manifold and catback. It would be a while before I purchased the option I didn't go with, so that is why I need bang for your buck.

im sorry, i meant the sound is not a huge difference.

the power is a big noticable difference...... the 2.4L autos suffer from the stupid torque management of the ECM forcing the power to sorta "kick in" at around 2000rpms..... with mods your able to get a bit more torque off the line and this SINGLE mod made a difference...... again in CONJUNCTION with my Intake, throttle body and catback system.... ANY of these parts by themselves wont do much

So a hookup of manifold and catback would be a good start at one time rather than doing the manifold later?

yeah there is a pretty big difference between auto and manual 2.4L.
I find i really have to press down on that ultra stiff gas pedal to get her going. I am starting to slwoy open her up a it more and am pleasently surprised.

after my last ecperince with "tunes" I am wary. Not sure racing my daily driver is such a hot idea.....but I will admit I am awfully tempted to get the GMPP intake and exhaust.

So what does the car shift at after the tune? who did yours? Oh Westers I see.

go back to the post. Further down I admitted to a joke--it was a rental. Look the pics. There is some scenery in the backround that just cannot be Calgary.

you had the tune done on your coupe with the 5spd right? Like i've said, the autos seem to gain more from tunes. i think its the best tune to getting it shift like its supposed to.. i dont really remember where i set the shift rpm to.. i think it was like 2k more than stock, but im not sure.
