Hahn 2.4 ecotec turbo kit

Found this on the solstice forums. I for one am uterly excited. Hahn is a great company and has been working on ecotecs for some time now. Anyways here's the link 2.4 turbo kit

Sweet! :twothumbs
I have been looking into the feasability of putting together my own turbo kit. It will be nice to see how Hahn tunes the kit, whether it is a PCM reflash or a piggy back since an FMU will not work on the returnless fuel system of the 2.4's.

FLCobalt 02-11-2006 06:11 PM

awesome

Mindriot 02-11-2006 06:39 PM

good news. and kudos to whoever presented that vvt tuning link.

Hahn makes some really great kits. They know their systems, very well.

celicacobalt 02-13-2006 12:47 PM

i cant wait to get this

Dman 02-13-2006 03:04 PM

somebody email him or something and get him over here so we can get some news on our kits!!! (2.0, 2.4)

celicacobalt 02-13-2006 04:35 PM

i read that whole thread on it and imo it should work for us fine except for the intercoolerpiping may have to be reworked if we wanted to get this kit fro the solstice

RaineMan 02-13-2006 09:29 PM

It's about time.... hellz yea! :twothumbs

sloNlow 02-13-2006 09:46 PM

Wouldn't the automatic on the 2.4 cause some issues?

celicacobalt 02-14-2006 01:29 PM

no, other than making sure we upgrade the tranny if we go stage 2

Dragonsfire12345 02-14-2006 04:08 PM

stage 1 is fine with me for now :guns:

celicacobalt 02-14-2006 06:28 PM

me as well until i get tranny upgrades and lower compression in the engine then ill be happy at maybe 350whp

More then likely the Solstice kit will have a very hard time fitting in a Cobalt or ION due to the nature of it being N-S instead of E-W. Some of the parts might work, but you'd have to completely redo all of the piping and get a completely different header made. Your best bet is waiting for Hahn to make a Cobalt version eventually.

Dragonsfire12345 02-16-2006 11:19 AM

I'm sure they will produce both at the same time.

sloNlow 02-21-2006 06:27 AM

I don't think the 4T45E can handle much more than stock, actually I'm almost positive.
But like others have posted I doubt the Solstice kit will even fit, and unless the Cobalt become more popular I wonder if they will make the kits at the same time.

celicacobalt 02-21-2006 09:44 AM

well i dont know how much more popular the cobalt has to become i mean i see more cobalts now than civics on the road

Brandon97Z 02-21-2006 01:44 PM

as far as making it fit....i'm not worried, thats mostly just piping. Aslong as we get a turbomanifold, fuel mods, and a way to tune and manage everything i'll be happy.

SlateFox 02-21-2006 02:09 PM

yeh ive been seein alot of SS and LS trims rollin around here. ALOT more since 2 months ago when i first moved here. and thats not including the 4dr's

celicacobalt 02-21-2006 02:25 PM

yeah having the piping redone is simple so if thats it im good to go with any 2.4 kit as long as its compatible with auto

fzcobalt 05-01-2006 12:32 AM

whats the website of the turbo

I read on here somewhere that the 4T45E can hold up to 300hp or somewhere in that area.
