Thumbs up Hahn update

well im not gonna say exactly what i was told from another forum member becuase im not really sure if he wants everyone to know....who may i add is very credible just encase you all start pointing fingers and calling bullshit....but anyways it looks like hahn hasnt given up on us yet and the le5/lsj kit is still under development and to be released soon.... 2.2's all i can say is you guys are doomed....not really anything new from the last time but at least we know hahn hasnt abandoned us yet....

Agreed, unless their kit is offers god like performence, at a low cost then they might as well give up

yea...im sure they are that way with alot of people on this site....but once this kit is released it will be one of the only kits availiable for the le5----will be the only reliable one....and for the lsj...but then again you guys dont really have the tuning problems that we have....but ive got plenty of time to wait

personaly, id rather just like theire tuning. But I know HAHN is notorious to lock the ECM's, which is kinda BS IMO. You cant really tune other parts, and it limits your car per say.

not even just uncalled for, but dangerous. No ******* dyno tune on an aftermarket f/i setup = not a good plan.

HAHN locks the PCM, I dont know if it says you cant view it... but I know you cant edit it.

but this is simply from other members of other cars.

According to Vector, they do the tune for Hahn. So if you want the Hahn tune, call Vector Tune.

True. Currently there's technically no kit available for the 2.4 with tuning (the Garrett doesn't have it). This time next month there should be an Alpine SMT-6 based kit tuned for the 2.4 (I know, I know, lots of talk and no action - but we'll see, I believe this time it's real). If the Hahn kit ever does hit the market, it will have Vector tune for the stock PCM.

hahn already lost alot of support and money from messing around and not taking any action, also even if they had a kit out right now i wouldnt buy since i cant dyno tune it with a locked pcm, thats bullshit.

PCM lock?

Has anyone confirmed the Hahn locks the PCM? I was just wondering because they have to know that people won't appreciate it. I have been waiting for Hahn to release this turbo because my better half didn't want a stick so we got the SS auto and this will be a good opportunity for me to add some horses to the car without it affecting her when she drives it.

yes, it has been confirmed that hahn locks the pcm tune. its unsafe to turbo a car on a universal tune like hahn does. its ok for a baseline but it needs dialed in for each specific application. if i was you id buy the garrett turbo kit and use hp tuners and a dyno to tune it. wait, that is what im doing lol.

The Hahn kit that has been shown on this board does not work with the auto (the intercooler plumbing won't clear it). Alpine will have a kit for the auto before Hahn does.
