The 1.5" primaries and 2.5" DP are better suited for our car. Running anything much bigger w/o forced induction and you'll just lose compression and not really gain any hp. If both ZZP and CA both reccomend the 2.5" DP for the 2.4 for a reason. Biggest IS NOT always better. Take it from me......I used to have an '88 RX-7 convertible non-turbo. I had an Apex-i GT Spec 3" cat-back on it which was way overkill. Only reason it was on there was b/c I got it brand new for $340 b/c a website messed an order up badly for me and offered to let me have it for super cheap for my troubles, compared to its $560 retail. Sure, it was crazy ass loud (also had a Racing Beat header) and looked badass, but I probally made no real power with it.

The header's primaries won't really make a huge diff, just make sure the header dosent have like a 3" collector unless you plan on adding boost via a supercharger. (Turbocharger will require you to replace the header alltogether w/ turbo manifold). But a 3" downpipe (even with a 2.5" exit flange) is certainly overkill for our cars. My roomate and my friend Eric have a 301whp STI and a 402whp WRX (20G turbo upgrade on the WRX) and both use an Agency Power 3" downpipe.......so I know 3" is way too much for our cars considering their cars run a 3".

I'm gonna get the CA header cause its priced right, been dyno tested on the 2.4, and is a direct bolt on.

But the best part is the right price part.

dammmmmmmmn right. Does the same thing as the pricier ones, you don't see it anyways, and like you said, its the only header backed with dyno charts. Smart man Jack.....smart man.

kenny over at CA said that he'd have a header coated for about an extra $100. that'll solve a lot of heat/paint issues.

But the new ZZP midlength header looks sick!

Also, OBX-R makes a sick looking new header for our cars.....havent really heard anything about it much on the forums yet though. OBX-R is hit or miss though......however, I will say that they've turned their act around a good bit and make much more quality parts now than they used to.

Yeah, I have a full exhaust w/ no cat and it sounds angry as hell when im coming down in the RPMs to a stop. You hear me coming for miles, lol.

i've been looking at the obx one as well. at this point i'm still leaning twords the CA part, but the obx looks to have nice thick metal to it.
