Ok so i have a gmpp performance catback on my car, i really do like it but i can barely here it. I have been pondering something louder and they are down between 2 parts

1 - megan alot of mixed feeling about it but frankly i like there sound, and inexpensive

2 - ark dt-s - less sounds , considerably more expensive

so that said should i spend the 600+ for the dt-s get the megan, keep the gmpp and get a new header and add a Dp

Or say screw it and save for something like coilovers to go with my new asa ar9's

or something different all together. ALSO no dont say save up and buy a Turbo not happening maybe when im out of school making 40+ grand a year a SC would go in. But if thats the case i will be in a evo.

you still have the stock cat on?

if you want a louder exhaust go with a straight downpipe no cat. ur **** will be much louder.

 

a header and downpipe should make it louder

 

oh and megan=rice.

 

nah keep it man.. nice and deep.. u dont wanna sound like a ricer.. and plus ull prolly get annoyed with it.. i kinda wish mine was aittle quieter and its a magnaflow.. its almost as quiet as the gmpp.. but i do have ZZP downpipe with it.. spend the money on somethin else

take a 3 foot portion of re-bar and knock out the hunnycomb inside the cat. this will free up flow and also make the exhaust louder if you dont wanna spend any money.

X2 If you can fit a full grown cat in the exhaust tip then its way too big.

 

remove your downpipe, and the fat bulging section of your DP is whats know as the "cat" or catalytic converter. when you look inside there is a mesh type screen that looks sort of like a honeycomb. take a metal rod of a good length and knock all that **** outta there. now you have a hollowed out cat.
