Auto or manual? Mods? Is this a real quick climb, then fall, then climb normally?

It's auto, I have only cat back exhaust and it will climb to 2000 and then drop slowly to 1500 but climb normally when I press the pedal more. I just get the feeling that there isnt as much power as there should be

Well I was going to guess clutch/tranny slip but since you aren't heavily modded or putting out tons of power I guess that's probably not it.

If so yes. It's easy to tell. Drive it. Get on it and if your not gaining speed but rpm's are going up really quickly trans is slipping.

It's not like that it almost feels as if there is a lot of restriction in my engine, could this be a clogged cat?

Could be anything causing this. Check for exhaust and or vacuum leaks. Check sensors. Check everything lol. I suppose a slipping transmission could cause those symptoms but you would really notice slip under WOT. Should be easy to tell if it were that.

Maybe go get your tranny looked at. Get a Tranny flush and filter change.

I think it needs to be done every 80-100 Km
