How to tell a 2.4l engine between a 2.2l?

I was wondering how i could tell the difference between a 2.4L engine and a 2.2L engine, does the 2.4L only come with VVT on it or does the 2.2L engine also say VVT on it?

The 2.2 LAP engine from what I know looks very similar to the 2.4 LE5.

But the 2.2 L61 looks noticeably different.

Yeah but by size alone youd be hard pressed to tell the difference in person without them side by side. But I think so of the stuff is in slightly different locations (dont qoute me on that not sure..) so that could help.

Dude just look at your vin if your wondering if you have a 2.4

But if you really wanna know the oil cooler is located to the right of the intake manifold, directly next to the oil filter cap. It's the aluminum rectangle thing with heat fins and black oil lines running into it
