posted this question in the drivetrain section but i guess nobody really goes there. are the hurst shifters made specifically for the ss/sc cars? i have a 2.4l and my car doesnt have reverse lockout, so if i get the hurst and install it will i have reverse lock out then? and im reading about adjusting cables or what not and im definitely not sure what that means, would you guys recommend me getting it installed professionally or do you think i could do it with the right instructions?

 

The Hurst is made for the 2.0 only. You might be able to fab it up to fit the 2.4, but no one's done it yet. And no, you would not have reverse lockout. You'd have the little part on the shifter, it just wouldn't do anything since there's no "ridge" for the lockout on the 2.4.

 

gotcha, thank you haha. finally someone answers my question. do they make a short shifter for the 2.4?
