Well first off, what do you have (2.0, 2.2, or 2.4), and yes, a little tint never hurts a balt, makes it look good.

EDIT: Whoops, sorry, its in the 2.4L section: GMPP Intake, and GMPP Sport Cat-Back, you'll be fine.

intake first because that let's the engine breathe and gives it a decent hp/tq gain and its under 300

next you should either do catback or header, OR header then catback
maybe some motor mounts to get that power to the flooor

DER? Just because the tube is short does not define it as not a CAI it still sucks air from outside the engine compartment. Actually it goes one better and provides a hood seal for a hood scoop. Also unlike the injen it has fewer bends which makes for less turbulant air. shorter length just makes for better throttle responce. That being said the gmpp filter sucks so i recomend replacing it with the AEM Dry flow filter part number 21-203D its washable and flows almost as good as a K&N but its not an oil filter so it won't booger up your sensor.

I agree get all the bolt-on's and then the tune. But start out with the Injen cold air intake then corsa sport exhuast you will be happy with that.

the 21-203D filter dosent have that weird gmpp offset but dimentionally it fits nicely and does not mess with hood clearance. I have one in my balt it gets a noteable gain over the red peice of crap filter. Not huge mind you but you can definantly feel it.

Make a power goal and figure out how much money you plan on spending on performance parts.

That is the realest thing I have ever seen. Every word of that is true. Make that a thread or something because a TON of people need to realize this. I was also lectured on a similar note to this once and which is why my Cobalt will be staying N/A for life. Once I am finished with bolt-ons and a tint my car will be complete. I imagine this will cost me under $1000 and I can save up and invest the rest of the money I get.

I think I posted it up here but it's not a sticky. I stickied it on ecotecforum though.

I'm glad you took the time to read the thread.
