I don't even think heat sheilds ect... would be a problem the 2.2 and the 2.4 have the same mounting locations for air intakes.

May have to measure -- if the intake has a welded-on bracket it might need some adjustment...the 2.2 and 2.4 TBs are not in the exact same location. The intake manifold on the 2.2 positions the TB off-center towards the drivers side while the 06-07 2.4 intake manifold has the TB centered on the manifold (Don't know about the 08 2.4 manifold). While the difference is about .5 inch it could mean the welded-on bracket wouldn't line up perfectly...."food for thought"...
