JBP cams on sale

Just a heads up the JBP cams are on sale for 577. Might have to pinch some pennies and pick this up while they are cheap.

g5mike had them, gave him tons of trouble as far as i remember. in the end it does give good gains tho.

i guess you need to be prepared for downtime for the car if you get them

Mason, you missed the important part of Mike's problem, he got a "friend" to install his cams. All of the troubles that followed were because of the lousy install job, not the cams.

they are a good investment if your wanting to stay na. 600 for say 20-25 whp. People pay that for an exhaust that adds 5-10.

They are fine by them selves. I'm prolly gonna go with their springs and they recommend the bronze valve guides with the springs. The springs are able to spin up to 7500rpm which can be utilized with the new powerband of the cams.

And yeah mike had problems due to a faulty install that fucked up the timing and ended up bending some of the valves. Since had to get his head re-worked he went ahead and had it ported. He also had a faulty rocker after the 2nd install and had to get those replaced. There's a few other guys running the cams on this site that haven't reported any problems.

JBP's cams are overpriced by about $400 even on sale.

Ah, the JBP cams.

I have drooled over these one night, then "**** that" the next.

I dunno.

How much did you pick up from the tune after the cams were installed? Were you tuned before they were installed? Any numbers?
