I just picked up my 2.4L SS, I love it, I can't wait for the break in period to end so I can get on it.

I think this car has more power then many people think.

I find the torque very impressive on this engine. Along with the response and over all smoothness too.

I chirped from 2nd gear at 5000rpm into 3rd gear.

Yeah, there or St Thomas, my car club goes to both. We usually go to St Thoams because it has less people there (even if the track is a bit crappy)

 

i finally got my hands on a 06 sale brochure , and it said the 7 speaker pioneer system was standard , but the 1 i test drove had the base system with the MP3

lol , gotta love the sales stuff

Can you even get the 2.4 SS with leather? All the ones I've seen at dealers only have cloth.

 

it shows the leather as optional , allong with the butt warmers


the g/f would prob force me to get the butt warmers too

 

yea, cuz those are very important down here

 

I sat in a leather one, it was pretty nice, seats are way better, the but warmers are a nice option.....but I am too poor for it.

 

the g/f is usually cold , so she would enjoy them , and that means i wouldnt have to turn the heater on and get hotter than i normally am

I have a 2.4L SS w/ leather heated seats...very nice. The leather is so soft and smooth if feels like butter. Very satisfied

 

does it come with the "SS" emboidery on the leather like the 2.0 does?

 

Unfortunately it doesn't. I personally wish they were.

just got the 2.4 ss coupe a little more than a month ago, already have 2500 miles on it. the car actually is happier driving harder than it is driving normally.

i kinda wish that it had a little more oomph in the 2500-4000rpm range. under full throttle, though, not bad!

 

Yeha thats what i noticed, it was nothing down low. I fee thatl all ecotec engines just wanna go all out and not just half throtle.

 

Mine is just loving the full throttle... its awesome

 

I wonder if gm underrated those too...........

 

wouldnt surprise me. it says 171, but it feels a bit more like 190hp.
