K&N hasn't gotten back to me about the intake their using my car. If we could get people to inquire about this intake we would get better response from companies. For instance AEM was using my car but the thing is is that there isn't enough people asking for the 2.4 products. also they both said that the 2.4 w/vvt will throw codes maybe not all but they will in most cases. So I will get in contact with K&N this week and I will post any update

OK here is the e-mail I just got From K&N today 06/12/06 I just wish they could give some type of time frame. I want to put new e/tcm yune package that I bought but can't until I get done with K&N. I bought the software, cables, interface cables. so until then I'll stay stock

Fred I am sorry, I've been super busy with trying to finish projects so
I can get you in. I was also out of town for 3 days and unable to check
e-mail. Don't worry I have you on my list and will get back to you
soon,
don't have an exact date.

youll get 2-3 hp max from that intake. with intake header and exhaust you MIGHT see 17whp increase. now get a vector tune for that badboy.

i doubt it would be as low as 3hp but 5hp is more likely because K&N has always been a great intake brand and also i wonder if they would make it into a SRI/CAI like the injen??

it would make more sense to add both...all the sri is a cai thats shortened up(sri stays n the engine compartment)(cai goes down into the wheel well)

Well our cobalts already have a CAI and it's a pretty good one. That's why you don't see a 5hp increase. You used to see that because for along time car companies made shitty intakes out of the factory. Chevy designed the intake with performance in mind, maybe not the best performance because of pricing but they did what they could. You're really only going to see about a 3hp difference from the CAI.

Acutally most people won't believe this but I got an e-mail from them yesterday and I called them today This time I have an appointment on the 21st they will need my car for 4 or 5 days but who knows when it will be out in production. I'll find out more when I go up there last time I had a dry run. about 3 months ago
