K&N Intake question

Is there actually any difference between the K&N that is made for the 2.2 and the 2.4? I know they have different part numbers. And does anyone have experience with trying out both? The reason I am asking is because I am going to be buying one used and I think it is the one for the 2.2.

Here are the links to them:

2.4
http://www.knfilters.com/search/prod...rod=69-4517TTK

2.2
http://www.knfilters.com/search/prod...Prod=69-4515TS

The one for the 2.2 is rated at adding 6.6hp and the 2.4 one is rated at 15.94.

Thanks for any possible help.

Um, yeah, one is actually engineered for the 2.4 and the other isn't. They have different piping diamaters, intake tract lengths, etc etc. The 2.2 one will probally work, but the 2.4 one will wield you better results.

We would recommend if you have the 2.4L to ONLY use the K&N Part Number 69-4517TTK as it was tested for the 2.4L and if you ever have any issues K&N will help you out.

The guy I am buying it from had it on a 2.4 SS.

ProjektCobalt wich one do you have the one for the 2.2 or the one for the 2.4. I think the 2.2 only comes in silver and the 2.4 only comes in black.

it's metal, just covered in a thick paint... looks like it's almost powder, but i don't think that it is.
