LE5 head porting

There are so many threads bashing people and praising others that it's hard to keep them straight. I just want to know who can port an LE5 head with VVT, for a reasonable amount of money. Also, if they're local in NE Ohio or Pitt, that'll cut on shipping costs. Thank you.

Register on HT and shoot a PM over to all motor mike. One day i wanna have him do a 2.4 head for myself as well. His work has always been exceptional everywhere I see it, and his prices are very very reasonable.

AZ, but its worth the shipping cost, last head I shipped fully assembled didnt cost me more then 45 dollars UPS. If you ship it to him bare and have the finish machine work done locally like the valve job and assembly it should cost you about 25 bucks both ways.

LSJION (Josh) is the one I recommend. Awesome work and great price.

He will install valve springs too if you buy them.

Many can attest to this.

And hes in your state.

Yeh i first saw his work back when I was on the neon.org forums back in 2006, and he had some very impressive work there, then he started doing work with honda's and ecotec's a few years later. LSJION is a good hand port from the pics i see, but no where near the quality of work AMM does.

If I get my hands on one, I'll get that put on before I go boost and let you know. In the mean time, keep an eye out.

Any head will do as long as it's VVT, correct? Or does it have to be LE5 specific? I have an 07 with forged rods, should I find a specific 2007 LE5?

Needs to be an LE5, but any year will work. It can't be the LAP head tho.

On another note I don't think a ported head will help much NA, the ports are not the restriction the cams are.

You're right, but what are the VVT's cam options anyway?

ZZP or call up Comp for custom made cams, comp would be your better bet cuz they can make them to exactly what you need
