Lifters 2.2-2.4 not good

Gm messed up and ended up using the same lifters in the 2.2 as the 2.4 causing unnessasary wear on the base of the lifters in turn causing wear in the ball socket of the rocker roller, causing the crack in two of the rocker rollers this was a lack of the thought process on GM part. I would advise others to keep an eye on theirs as well, the guy who designed my cams noticed this as well,he showed me lifters from a cavi with 160.000thou on them and they had nowhere near the wear of mine and I only have 5000thou in milage on my car, soon as I can Im going with aftermarket lifters and rollers from Jesel

Do you have a ballpark figure on how much those aftermarket lifter and rollers will cost? Is it expensive to have someone install them? I have almost 20k miles on mine and my warranty is only for 36k.

Go to www.jeselonline.com there really is no istallation for these, you will need a re and re of the cams though, the liftersand rollers are just sat by hand into place

They will work,i dont if we should make tooo Biiigggg of a deal with these cause I also could have just a couple bad rockers also, not excusing the fact that the lifters are a few mm small for the socket of the roller

Atleast you found the problem before they got anyworse. So did you just go with the stock rockers to replace the two defective? How's the cam install coming along?

defective lifter

Seems to me there should be be a reimbursement or recall to some degree with the vast number of problem lifters. My 2.2 has a bad lifter (drains out over night) . I thought my oil was low but not the case. Occurs only when engine stops where it compresses that lifter. My 2009 cobolt engine only has 25,000 miles.
