Red face A Little too Quick on the Draw?

Greetings Everyone:

Glad i stumbled on this forum about 1 week ago looking forward to getting to know you guys in the future. Anyone ever feel like after they bought a vehicle that they should have gone just that extra bit. One week ago i purchased a 2007 Cobalt SS Victory Red 4 Speed Automatic. NOW I love the car however i REALLY wish i had bought a 5 Speed 201hp Supercharged version. K I have 201 KM's on the car atm I paid 30000 approx for the car and really wish i bought the Supercharger. I guess i have 2 dilemas my first if i go back to the dealership and see if i can get a Super charger version how much do you think i will loose on the deal will they let me do the change and the second thing what prevented me from buying the Supercharged version is i have always driven an automatic. Should I just stick with the Automatic or learn how to drive the standard? Frig this is driving me nuts. Any input on performance issues as compared between the Auto and the standard would be great. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks.

Ive never known anyone to make it worth their while ... you will have better luck with insurance fraud then you will with not getting screwed on new vehicle swaps .. .

it allready sounds like you got screwed with that price on a non SS/SC

if u do go ss/sc make sure u learn to drive stick BEFORE driving it, the clutch is super sensitive and very easily burnt out, definatley suggest buying like a $1000 beater car to learn, otherwise just stick with what u have!

this is what alot of canadians are pissed about our dollar usaully floats about .10-.12cents less than the american dollar yet we pay 30% more than our friends south of the border, auto companies have been asked about this, and no one is stepping up to the plate, might need to be a government investigation

Hey all on the issue of the pricing it was $26000 before taxes. I also added Undercoating, paint protection and leather protection. The actual price was more so in the 28000$ price range. And yes it's in Canadian Dollars. Just came from the dealership my question has been answered automatic it is. Anyone know what kind of Engine modifications i can put into it to increase horsepower but maintain my warranty with GM?

I don't know about Canada, but in the US you have I think 30 days to reverse the contract without penalty. The dealership will give you a really hard time about it, but it can be done. The sooner the better. They might not give you as much of a hassle if you want to buy the SS S/C from them.

the pioneer system is standard now in the US for 07 2.4s and I thought it was always standard in Canada.

I ordered mine for 19,200 adn plan on mildly moding it.

You can mod the crap out of these things now. A year ago there wasnt much aftermarket support, but now there is a bunch. GM performance parts apparently have a warranty and such, so that is why most people buy their exhaust, intake and header.

I bought the good warranty as well because well.....it is a chevy. I like it a lot but much like many others wish I had waited to get the supercharged one. Oh well we all make mistakes...at least I have two cars instead of two kids
