how would a magnaflow muffler sound on a pontiac g5 gt with just cutting the stock muffler off and welding the magnaflow on? and leaving resignator alone. im asking this because the stock exhaust is already 2.25in. and thats wat the cat-back system uses. money is an issue, any suggestions?

 

depending on what magnaflow muffler you use it should sound good, i used to have a round magnaflow and it sounded pretty good, i recomend an oval one and it will sound nice.

 

dude just get a megan racing exhaust 350 bucks and sounds amazing

 

I'm prettty sure the stock 2.4L exhaust is 2 1/2". The proper catback for that car is the 2 1/2" Magnaflow system, which I have. Just bolting a 2 1/2" Magnaflow muffler on will still sound good.

to bad megan racing only sells it for the supercharged cobalt. at least thats what im seeing now.

 

ummm dude the supercharged cobalts has the same exhaust as the 2.4s lol

i heard the clear image custom exhaust with magnaflow muffler, that's one of the best sounding exhaust for us i've heard. but if loudness is what you want then megan exhaust is the way to go

 

i have a magnaflow cat-back and i really like what it sounds like
its clean and not ricy at all...but im not really sure what yours is going to sound like????

 

hahaha yea the megan is kinda ricy but i think well worth it it sounds sweet with a zzp combo

not true. ss/sc 2.4 2.2 all share the same exhaust "layout". i've seen 2.4 guys with megan exhaust before too

 

penguin is right we all have the same exhaust lol wow people a weird they sell a part and dont know what cars can fit it lol
