New Cat

Had my CA header and XTC dp on for 120 miles . I was wondering how long of a break in period should I give before I drive it normally (4000 + rpm) ? Thanks for any responses .

500 miles is the standard break in for a cat.

OK so 300+ miles . When you say don't drive it fast do you also mean don't rev it high ?

play it safe and wait the 500. look up how many "my cat is clogged, what a piece of **** downpipe xxxxxx sells" threads. or, look up all the cel's from bad cats. it's not worth it over 250 miles. i would just take the time and make sure you do it right.

it's a good idea. there's people posting cat problems all the time. most likely from not being broken in properly. you may not notice the problems for a while, so people don't think it had anythign to do with break in.
