hi my name is adam i live in indiana...and definitely i think you got screwed on your ss package...unles thats only the 08's cuz the 09's have the right SS bumper...i own a 2006 cobalt ss.

I believe he said its a sport and it probably is, its just got the wrong front bumper he should be able if he got it from a dealer to take it back and get the right front bumper. If not he might be able to get one used from someone on here.

i baught it used from a dealership in bigflats, NY , Simmons-rockwell... and i dont think theyd put a new bumper on it for me for free lol, and the SS badge on the back was there when i got it, idk how to take it off tho and i dont wanna rip off the paint... if anyone has any ideas where i can buy one of those bumpers please do tell, i looked on ebay and found nothing... it has the side skirts and rear bumper so the front musta been there ...
i just got the car not even 2 weeks ago, and it has 25k miles on it... all i did was made the windshield banner...

You dont need to go on the defense here, we believe you, just trying to tell you that your dealer screwed you on your front bumper dude and that you should go back and get the sport bumper. 
If I were you I would be thankful that all of these people are telling you that your front bumper is wrong so that I could go get it fixed and get what I paid for, but hey, thats just me.

the SS is wrong, it should say "SPORT" like mine does. 5 lug in CORRECT, the front bumper is WRONG. other than that, everything is fine. i have an 08 Sport. see my vgarage or other pics for mine. mine in manuel, had to search long and hard for it.

hey everyone, i'm josh i live in NY and i just baught an 08 Cobalt Sport 2.4L
Theres no engine mods done to it, i dont dare touch it, i put nokya blue headlight bulbs on it, and a motor fuse blew and it's now in the shop for the week while a new fuse is ordered... is there a reason new cars are so touchy?? lol

You may want to do a Carfax on it, or better still, take it to a front end shop, and have them check it out. If you have only owned it 2 weeks, you may have some recourse if the car was damaged, and not declared to you at purchase. I assume as used car purchase, it has some sort of 30 day warranty.

obviously its had front end damage i don't think anyone can disbute that. Some fixxed it and sent it on its way....now you gotta find out if they fixed everything or not.

I dont have much money left.. i gotta start makeing payments in acouple weeks so if i'm going to buy a new front bumper i need to do it ASAP, i can't find one on ebay or anything... where would be a good place to look??

Yea, u should. They sold u a cobalt SS with the wrong damn parts on it. Tell them you would like it fixed. If they refuse then tell them youre going to contact GM customer support and rat them in. If they still refuse tell them youre getting a lawyer.

it's a sport not an SS... but anyways i just called the salesmen and left him a msg i basically said this " i got some questions, i want to know if the car was involved in an accident and if so why u neglected to tell me... the entire front end of the car doesnt match up to what a 08 Cobalt sport should be, and i want to know how i can get the original equiptment installed so i dont have any further problems ... ''' NOTE my car is in the shop RIGHT now becuz some engine fuse blew and my headlights went out...

yeah bro, i didnt even have it for two weeks and one of my headlights went out, so i went to change it, put a new bulb on it and it was still out... but then i hit the highbeams and it came on and the other one went out.. i was like dubya tee eff!! lol so i took it in, and they had to special order some fuse... and now im stuck with a suzuki frenza while they got my cobalt... bullshitt
