new record? :D
Hey guys. So I've never really introduced myself on the forum before so I think now is a good time. My names Noor Jariri, I'm a mechanical engineering student at UB in Buffalo, New York and live in Albany. I've been around the forums for a while now, learning and slowly modding my car. Over the past couple years I really caught the "mod bug" and now have a fully bolted+tuned car, my mods are in my vbgarage.
So the reason why I started this thread was to post my pretty cool news. A performance shop close to where I go to school hosted a "Cinco de Dyno" day where cars could dyno for cheap and people could just hang out. I wasn't planning on dynoing but my friend with a built, big turbo B5 audi convinced me otherwise. So I get strapped down and talk to the tuner doing the pulls for a little, then after the first run I see this
I was so pumped when I saw 201hp. I was honestly hoping for 160-170, considering its on a mustang and I didn't wanna get my hopes up. The next run was about the same with 200/188, I only revved out to 6400 so I believe it may have had a tiny bit more too.
So I'm pretty sure this is a new record for an NA LE5, and I'm very happy with it! I couldn't have done it without the advice from you guys on here, so thanks Here's the link the video of my two runs, you couldn't see the tv with the graph on it so I just took a vid of the exhaust haha.

And some pics of the car
Me pulling away
This is the video of my friend's built B5 A4, it put down 316/335

And finally here's some of the other cars there. I didn't take any pics these are just what my friend took and put on FB, I'll post what Innovative puts up later.
Thanks for reading guys!

AFAIK this is a new record for a fully bolted N/A 2.4 with stock internals. congrats.
I was hoping be the first to break 200 in the next couple weeks after putting on my LSJ TB and getting tuned! i said it could be done. now i know every dyno is different, but hey the numbers dont lie.
have you ever taken it to a track?

great job!!! that looks fun! too bad i live in the boonies, and my cobalt is the only car in a town of 5,000 people with rims, besides a hundred or so trucks.
also, you have relevied many people by having a dyno sheet and video. I expected this to happen and have no proof.

Hahaha A dyno only measures WHP, that's what it is meant to do. All dyno's are different though, and I'm sure this was a "happy" mustang, but still a mustang dyno.
And you can't just use a little armchair engineering to determine how much a car with x mods will make, there are way to many unknown factors. I made what I made and am happy with it.
George, hows it feel to be apart of the cobalt community now? Sorry cavalier community
