Newbie G6 owner

Hey everyone, thought I'd drop in and say hi. I have a 2006 G6 2.4L . Im also on G6 performance, but very few of them have the 4 cylinder models like mine. Seems like theres a lot more here. I'm also happy to find out theres more mods (headers/cams/ECU, etc) than I thought. Need to get this beast of mine movin a little faster

Does anyone know if the intake and headers for the cobalt fit the G6? I know the 2.2 Eco intake fits my car but I dont know if there is the same clearance for the exhaust. Does anyone have some under hood pictures of their 2.4 with an intake an any other mods they can post?

In 06 the 2.4L was an optional motor for the base G6. In 05 they only offered the 3.5L on all trim levels.

"Walmart - A store where you can buy a shot gun, ammunition, a ski mask, a baseball bat, a meat cleaver and map of the middle east, but you can't buy a CD that has a "Parental Advisory" sticker"
lol good point.

Actually there is. I just got rid of a 93 LT1 camaro (falling apart due to previous owners neglect ) and I was on a Team near Chicago. They all mostly had LS1's (Including my girlfriend) so the VP used to call my car an "LT_Junk" kind of a joke since I was the "ugly duckling". But I spanked him on the highway once he got his 4.10 gears :-P. Anyhoo, I got the G6 and the "Junk" thing just kinda stuck. Sad huh.

Oh, and do they give any cam specs? I really dont want to get cams if I dont know at least the duration, life, and LS angles.

welcome to the site, i dont see why the headers and cai wouldnt fit, G6 are pretty nice cars, my aunt has the 3.9GTP 6spd. how serious are you about performance? cause i know theres a few places working on turbo kits for the 2.4's dont know much about them but i am sure you can get it to work on the G6 with minor mods/fabing

wow your right, I forgot about the Ions too! LoL. Well, I am serious about performance but I have very little money till I get promoted. The solstice kits would work on the 2.4L but the Ecu I think is the biggest hurdle.

its auto Im thinking of a 5 speed swap, I know some of the work would be custom. Until then Im gonna find a shift kit and Im gonna get that Trans Pressure Controller. Or w/e its called.

Im basically taking over a new store, but they're hiring on a new GM. So if I end up proving myself better than the new GM (which I will most definately) I could be bumped up from a Supervisor to an Assistant Manager. So, a little of both.
