its a 2000 altima, with an xcessive intake manifold gasket set (1/4 thick vs 1/16th's) 4-2-1 header, 2.5 straight pipe to a borla turbo muffler, wai, 248/248 cam's, advanced timing, rear disc conversion, completely blacked out egr COMPLETELY removed, custom accord front lip, custom 1st gen altima sideskirt's, oem strut bar, ur crank pulley...i could go on and on lol
i mean its got the makings of a damn good little tuner car but sadly i dont have anything else to do to it minus boosting it, and i can either downgrade to obd1 or spend $2k on an aem ems and im just not gonna do it lol...ive got over 10k in it now and 2k for management is insane

thats the only mod on the slobalt is the light's....my 5k's and 3k's will be in tomorow and ill be removing that stupid intake silencer...l

ive lurked on this board for year's but never had the urge to mod the balt i was always too busy dumping money in the altima....and to be quite honest...that ecotech scares the **** out of me toying with it....

i had an epihany one day though....a buddy of mine drove the balt and i drove the altima and i put 2 car's on the balt by the end of third and i like to think the altima was built mildy...so its time to get the slobalt up to speed...im really thinking about making the pulley set the first real mod...any thought's?

 

I like the look of the cobalt more than the nissan lol.

Why do people call them "slobalts" is it just a funny word? I dont think there slow by any means lol

 

Welcome aboard man, I like your cobalt you'll have fun modding it trust me. I also had a 94 Nissan Altima and had 4-1 obx header/downpipe, 2.25 exhaust, unorthodox pulley, wai, egr block off plate. I was gunna do jwt cams and get it tuned but it was just wayy too much money, plus my car was rusting out underneath so i sold it for parts. I got a pontiac g5 gt now and love it. I've started modding it slowly with intake, header/downpipe and gunna do a custom exhaust and finally a trifecta tune when i get the cash.

 

It was either a ls/lt or an 06. They didnt make an SS/NA in 05.

But with some bolt ons and a tune ur cobalt will take ur altima if it only put 2 cars on the balt when its stock.

 

Wet Air Intake?? loljk, if you supercharge the balt you will go alot faster lol and you can find a complete kit around here for like 8-1200 usually, and i think the trifecta tunes are down to like 2-250

 

the altima will be faster for atleast the next 2 years (until the warranty run's out and its paid off) i dont really want to do a whole lot of go fast mod's at the moment....i am looking into slamming it though....then it will be the lowbalt...and after it gets supercharged or boosted (i can piece a turbo kit for around a grand) itll be called the omfgbalt....

and your right about it being an 06'...couldnt really remember if it was an 05 or an 06 wife told me it was an 06'..
