RAW intake touching radiator hose

I just intalled my 3'' RAW CAI and it is sitting on top of my upper radiator hose.
Result: the part of my intake to the right of the hose is very hot... so no cold air that way!

how can I fix this? any ideas?

sorry man, just never heard of it, bump for ya.

either wrap the hose or intake in header wrap. works pretty well to keep heat out. that or re-route the radiator hose away from the intake.

yeah well I was told that header wrap would not work since it doesn't dissipate the heat... I'm not sure about this though

In terms of re-routing the hose, that's what I am looking for I think... but what should I use though? has anyone done this already??

I saw that NAPA makes such a hose for the new civics, especially for pple with intakes because they have the same problem:

Is there such a thing for cobalts? If not, can I make a custom one & with what?

why would you need to dissipate the heat? is the line going to the motor from the radiator, or to the radiator from the motor?

oh, i believe you, but since it's motor to radiator, there is no harm in keeping that heat in, just wrapping it in insulator would be a good way to keep the heat out of your intake.

would it be as efficient as rerouting the hose?
if so, where can I get this wrap thing for cheap?

i ended up getting a flexible rad hose for $25

next step: get my hands dirty with coolant and mess around with GM hose clamps for 3 hours

I hate those clamps so when we put my engine back in the DD, I yanked all those clamps out and replaced them.
