The highest rpm at which you don't break traction.

Seriously, it varies with track conditions, tire air pressure, etc.

BTW, you might get a better response in the 2.0l section.

the easiest way to do it is right when the tires chirp just a bit...it's hard to tell where the highest rpm's you can launch at without losing traction are because, well you really don't know how much higher you could go. Without knowing your car extremely well, the easiest way to do it is just try to get the tires to chirp just a tiny bit and then full on traction...thats the best spot.

Well I did some testing to see how the different ways you guys suggested would work. The chirp thing did "alright". The 2k RPM was horrible no offense, maybe its just my car. BUT about 500-1000 RPM's past the chirp point to where the tire kind of spins a LITTLE BIT works perfectly. I love it and you can kind of do a teeny burnout at the same time while taking off fast, the hard part now is doing it again and finding what that RPM was exactly. This was under dry conditions BTW.

lol that is crazy, 1000 rpm's and you are breaking the tires loose? maybe i'm just spoiled with rwd, but are you dumping the clutch or feathering? don't dump it, feather it.

I start at 1000 and clutch is released all the way. it works the best. then short shift it. this is with GMS2. may not be the best method with stock or other mods. I am running stock tires. 2.18 = best 60 ft.

Naw man, not 1000 RPM's. 500-1000 past the chirp point which is 2000. Which means 2500-3000. Works pretty good.
