Hey everyone, just a quiky question here! Ummm when I rev the engine right away I hear a squek(damn I can't spell). My srt friend thinks I'm just suckin in air and there is no problems, I'm just wondering if anyone knows what it is or could be? It does come from the passenger side and very close to the front...thanks, oh its very brief to just like i got a mouse,lol..thank god no hamsters!

 

Maybe a slight belt slip? What engine?

 

2.4L VVT.... did you recently put an intake on or something? I can hear my intake every now and then if I listen... it kinda sounds like a squeak...

 

I have a 2.0 SS, and I started getting pissed when I heard a sqeak, I started driving with no music on trying to figure out where it came from. I eventaully realized my Passenger door is squeaking. When I pull on the little paper item holder, it makes some odd squeak. it also does this if I accelorate and then let off the gas...

Iritates teh crap out of me, but its nice to no its nothing important. Using you ears can you pinpoint what direction its comming from? does it sound like its in front of you, behind you, to your left right, etc.

 

no mods to the engine as of yet, but there seems to be no problem except for bad gas milage but then again I'm used to driving a Honda soo.. I thought it was a throttle cable but I don't think the 2.4L uses the old throttle cable stuuf ( electronic I think).. Sounds cool but ya if its a belt it wouldn't surprise me! " I don't trust dealerships".. thanks 4 the input I'll go take her in for a check..
