SRI/CAI IAT's?

I've got the K&N SRI on my car, but I've been wondering what the difference in IAT (intake air temperature) might be with a CAI setup? Has anyone actually scanned the car to compare IAT versus ambient air temperature? I'd like to see some actual data for both the SRI's and CAI's, preferrably after driving around long enough to let some heat soak build up in the engine bay.

well i have a custom short ram intake.. and i hooked my car up the other day to a dash hawk. and it was 72 degrees out and the air temp was 76 going into my engine.. which isnt bad.. as far as the cold air intake its prolly only like 73-74 degrees. at 72

A lot of intakes even if they are CAI are just going to heat soak the **** out of the tube and heat the air anyways.

yea my friend in his civic dynoed 5 different intakes each 3 times.. and at the wheels they only averages about a difference in hp like .1-.2 so basicly it might not even be a difference.

no problem thats what we are here for plus the thing about cold air intake is if you go through a deep puddle you can suck air up into your engine. so i just stick with the short ram.

I have the injen intake and have taken logs with HPT, with both the cold air and the short ram. At idle the temps jump up alot qicker with the SR then they do with the cold air. But during driving conditions they both log arounf the same temps.
