Ive been looking around the 2.4 forum and there is not **** going on there these days..lol..

I guess where they dont make the engine any more and theres not a whole lot some mods you can do for them without jumping into advanced mods like a supercharging or a turbo kit.. so I figured I would start a thread about go fast stickers and what not goodys on the 2.4s... whats the 2.4 guys been into lately..

 

i've been in the area of fixing my CEL problem... no 1 has helped. i get codes p0013 and p0130. other then that, i haven't had money to do anymore mods.

current aftermarket items:

shorter antenna
Carbon Fiber pedals
ram air hood
dual exhaust
lowered on Eibach sport
V2 header
vibrant donwpipe with hi-flow cat
full tint
led 3rd brake light
functioning reverse lights (all 4 lights light up and blink with turn signals)
K&N CAI - typhoon

only 2 stickers on car, Corvette racing skull and biohazard
the skull is now a flat black to blend in with window tint (stealthy)


car is now de-badged

 

anybody done anything new to 2.4s anybody found any new way get a extra 1/3HP or anything?

 

I just bought my 07 G5 GT 2.4, I love it! a nice upgrade from my LT.


so first question, will the 2.2 k&n typhoon system fit on the 2.4?

 

first off why would you only upgrade to a 2.4? i'm sure you could've found a few sc'd balts around for the same price you paid.

second, i'm pretty sure it will fit but the problem is the 2.4 has a different mounting bracket to hold it on. so if you can find another way to mount it correctly and stay in place it will work.

I've been cleaning mine and just had it Tuned. Getting ready for the Ohio meet next weekend. I'm still debating whether I want to upgrade to the Stage II Turbo. Still waiting for word on a Cruze SS. If they make it and give it awd, I will definitely trade up. So many good things are being said about the 1.8 and possible LNF.

 

welp..I added a new sticker under my hood.. a zzperformance one... I just installed a intake tube that attaches to the stock air box.. very nice setup.. I would recommend.. I also I installed a progress rear sway bar.. it made a big difference.. the rear end feels tighter.. but I have not put the progress stickers on the cobalt yet..lol...

 

If you want to talk about decals/stickers on cars, you should go join dodgechallenger.com. those old ******* over there, all they talk about is decal this and vintage sticker this. Its sickening. Also, they are in love with stick-on hood pins, window louvers, vent visors, and other Autozone performance parts.

 

Nice thread revival. I have a couple that I need to install. A K&N for my drop-in and one from ZZP.

your correct.. I should have been more clear.. I meant they are not made in the cobalts anymore..

There is such a narrow market in aftermarket parts for the 2.4 cobalts... alot of things are interchangable with the other ecotecs but I wish there was more things for the 2.4.

I'll stick them on the new MacBook Pro I just ordered. I want one of the CobaltSS decals though and a a GotBoost? decal. Always fun.

You should plaster your car with them. Then when people ask, you could say that you had the engine removed because the stickers were making way more HP than the car originally made.
