I doubt they are... because the build book suggests you have to upgrade them at the same power level as for the 2.2 ones.
Plus as they are the exact same size and length as the 2.2 ones, I won't be surprised they are exactly the same ones

yes they are forged.. i some how stumbled on an sae file with the 2.4 specs in it

that depends on where you are.. those are also 08 specs.. but the engine internals shouldn't change

ok i found the one for the 2.2... technically it's forged but they're forged powder metal instead of forged steel like on the 2.0 and 2.4..
the one for the lsj is being tempermental right now but i'll make a new thread

Search for this title on gmtuner source, 104742-enginehandbook-complete-web and it says specs about the 2.2 on page 83 (the book page). It never really says if the rods are forged, it just talks about upgrading them and they are good to 250hp It says the crank is cast.
