supecharging and building kit help?
So I have a few quick questions. Ive been looking at zzps full sc kit and wondering if I should just save up for that or piece my kit together.
And how much of a price difference it would be?
Also on there site they say something about if I buy straight bolt off stuff from a lsj that they use 6 rib belts? And my 07 2.4 uses 5 rib and I would have to do a lot of custom work if I would piece my kit togother? If someone could shed some light on that I would appreciate that.
I'm new to all this and trying to read up on a lot of stuff.

All that really is done with the belt is you use an xacto knife and cut one of the ribs off. There are no real 5 rib double sided belts that I have been able to find so far in the size required for the SC swap. That being said, I just bought my kit from mongorat for $700 fully ready to bolt on, used. The only issue with that is that most of the used kits now have seen some mileage, which means you will wind up going through some sort of cleanup process to get them ready for abuse and use before you bolt it on. That includes SC servicing, cleaning the intake manifold, and sending the injectors out to be cleaned and pressure checked. Mongorat is a supplier of various cobalt parts and usually has at least a couple SC kits on hand at any given time, i know he has at least one or two more available atm. Just shoot him a PM... ZZP offers their kit with all new or rebuilt parts, so there is some peace of mind there. You'll spend way less money buying a used kit and cleaning it up to make it more functional. The only things I've replaced from my original kit was the heat exchanger. I got that new, and bought another used blower with like 60k miles on it. There are LSJs out there with well over 150k miles on their original parts. I don't think you'll run into an issue with a used intake manifold or blower. I'd just watch out for "ported" parts. Depending on who did the port work, and if the seller can prove that so in so did the porting, I'd try to steer away from ported parts.
There are plenty of excellent cars making great power on hand me down parts.

ZZPerformance - ZZP Supercharger Oil #ZZ-SCOIL
obviously you will need an intake manifold and the pulley parts from an LSJ, alternator bracket. ic pump and bracket, heat exchanger, the reinforcement bracket for the LSJ intake manifold, an intake, injectors, various harness parts to extend and rewire. 2 bar map, boost bypass valve (sc should come with it), lsj throttle body. Might be a few other things im missing.

For the supercharger rebuild you will need a coupler, supercharger oil, rheotemp 500 bearing grease, and an anerobic gasket sealer for you the snout side that the oil is held in.

Looks very clean, the first hose you posted is merely the hose that connects to the purge solenoid, its a quick disconnect. You don't have to disassemble it, but at the very least you want to change the oil. There is a drain plug on the snout, and you can drain and refill it with the ZZP oil i posted.

Ya changing the oil is a must, I was worried about the bearings but after i got it this is cleaner than i thought it would be... and there is no rattling or grinding sounds so.
