Whatever your preference is. Either one will work. What do you mean by best? Do you have a power goal or a 1/4 mile goal?

the reason most people are going with the SC option is its cheaper. The results are about the same, both turboing and supercharging have their unique benefits and its an age old debate as to which is better. its all about preference

The SC is a cheaper solution borrowing parts from the 2.0L, but i don't know of a bolt-on kit or tech support for revamping the fuel system to meet the new requirements of a SC, making it much harder(and usually ends up being more expensive in the long run.
There is a Turbo kit out there from Hahn. It comes complete ready to bolt-on if i remember correctly with tech support.
It all depends on your mechanical/tuning abilities, and what sort of HP/Speed goals you have in mind.

Check out rebel auto works, they have a list of what you need for a s/c kit on a 2.4 off the ss/sc.

there's no "best". both are good. you need to research and make a decision.

seriously ... moderate gains and ease of installation/ price... get the M62... best gains a bit harder installation.. turbo... in the middle (probably) procharger but it's all what you're going for really.. like other said whats you're goal.. and then we can give you a better idea

used or new? you can piece together a good kit yourself ... especially used stuff for real cheap.. but if they don't know what they're doing then a kit is better in which case. it'll be 3K plus

Read Adam(NJHK)'s turbo kit guide. Tells you exactly what you need to get and how to pick the parts. I used it, but in the end i didnt need it, but was still very educational. It started my information quest on FI.

Pick a goal and go for it. If you want anywhere between 200-275whp, i would go with the M62. You could be boosted for about $1500-2000. If you want 275-350whp, go turbo or procharger.

The easiest install i would say would be a procharger or M62. You dont need to worry about a turbo manifold or downpipe. you can bolt it on, hook up the intercooler(be it FMIC for procharge, or h/e for m62), throw in 32lb injectors(200whp) or 42lb'ers(250+whp) and tune the bitch.

Got any questions? im here all week =P

exactly the problem with turbo... you need more.. it's a 500+ dollar upgrade... SC... it's 100 or so for a new pulley...

same here man.. i mean if you get a turbo kit it's about the same price as the procharger stuff.. but you don't have to risk the possibility of going for big boost later and another 1K upgrade (depending on the turbo..) however it's all preference.. if you build for a certain goal in mind you CAN do a turbo for cheaper if you piece it together however it's really all personal... procharger will produce exactly what I want, and I can do it in a night for the install... instead of turbo where I can't install it myself and such

i was looking to do 1/4 faster.. i would like to eventually get it up too 300whp.. i want to but a 2.25 catback and a k&n c/a intake. im thinkin s/c because it's cheaper a i think they are easier to maintain..

how much or how hard is it to tune the engines? never tuned one before.

don't tune it yourself less you have a tuner helping you... if you're eventually going sc get a 2.5, custom intake, header, DP, then save for the SC of your choice... best route for the money...

yeah, fist mod im going to do is get a k&n intake unless i hear of a better intake. then get my 2.25 catback. i shouldn't have to tune until i get a s/c or procharger correct?
