that is what i am saying, 300whp is pushing it on our motors, while 350whp on the 2.0 is doable. But your right i should spend sometime there, damn them we need power!

No that was TOG that made a bunch of headers that didn't fit and then skipped town with everyone's money.
SCdyne just took a long time to deliver the early headers, eventually delivered them as promised and is still around selling headers.

When people actually accept a realistic performance increase of around 40% you'll find a reliable system. Expecting a 100% increase in performance and no negative impact on the engine is not only naive, but bordering on stupid. For the most part that’s only a little more than 200 HP to the wheels and totally possible without internal upgrades.

SCDyne has great headers, just a shady ass owner and very poor customer service. You can go to the better business bureau and check out how many complaints he has.

SCdyne is one of the two companies but the other(unamed) company is having better gains and is cheaper and has been tested for 10,000miles now, that was all I was told in a PM...so you guys are about to have 3-4 sc choices and a couple turbo choices..let the e-humping begin

SCDyne BBB report It's an F rating with 4 unanswered complaints.

SCdyne PM to me:
4 complaints from individuals who did not receive product as advertised. The BBB contacted me by phone and I provided both written and verbal proof of resolution for each case.
3 were headers that were delivered or refunded and one was for an intercooler kit that was refunded. In every single case the same manufacturer was at partial fault HS/RGS for failure to deliver the products.
I was at fault for selling a product I didn’t have on hand and stringing on guys like Beck about when product would be shipped.**
So why does it still show a negative rating? One reason is that my address is wrong and I didn’t get any mailed requests for resolution. The other reason is because while Beck may have gotten his header or refund the BBB wont complete the follow up, update the contact information or update the status of the report until I pay them $300+ a year to become a member. I’m working on becoming a BBB member now, but have I other matters that take precedence.

**At face value that sounds stupid as a business model, but the fact of the matter is that companies couldn’t stay in business if they had to maintain an inventory of all the parts they offer. It’s called Just in Time inventory and only works when the supply chain has all it’s links in order. Dell is a very good example of this and in our industry Keystone is the hub of the majority of the parts we purchase from retailers.

Just throwing this out there........Is there anyone that happens to live near the Valencia area in Cali with hptuners? If so it would be great to meet up and assist me with my project. I thought I might make a custome s/c kit for my car, but need smart programing skills that I dont have. Running around 6-7 psi, nothing to high due to the fact I dont want to upgrade my internals. Any replies or advice would be great.

and no..a piggyback is NOT reliable unless you are willing to spend more on the unit then the turbo/super kit itself...
Why is a piggyback not reliable? The Alpine system has been used on a lot of cars and a lot of miles. It has full mapping for fuel (not just "on or off") and also full mapping of ignition timing compensation under boost.

See the article at:

http://alpine-developments.us/Alpine...2520cooker.pdf

This system was developed to be a factory direct performance add-on from Saturn.

Currently, Alpine only lacks specific tuning for the 2.4 - but some of us are working the issue and hope to have that resolved in a month or two. More to come...
