torque?

I did a search and found a topic but the answer I'm looking for was never posted. What do I torque my valve cover to?

The camshaft cover bolts and the coil bolts both get torqued to 10nm or 89 lb.in.

Make sure to torque them all to the same amount, else the cover might fly off with all the pressure build up in there

just remember its in.lb. not ft.lb... I bought a torque wrench thinking it was ft.lb. and turned out it was in.lb., had to go and get a bigger one.

Just don't want to see you over torque it (like i almost under torqued my lug nuts!! lol)

Yeah notice they deleted all the posts from here. One day they'll get sick of it hopefully, having to patrol his threads.

allot

not only is it important that its on at the correct torque but most importantly with a valve cover is making sure its all tightened evenly, every lug to the exact same specs.

some consequences of not are massive amounts of leaking oil (u dont have to be a rocket scientist to understand why u dont run ur car with low/leakin oil) or even a warped valve cover.
