weapon r ram air intake
weapon r ram air intake
OK I have a question that i need some help with. I bought a weapon r ram air intake for my 06 cobalt 2.4L Auto, and after i installed it the T/C light came on and after i took off to test drive it the engine light came on and i got a reduced engine performance message. It was sputtering and missing and would only go about 25 MPH. I am pretty sure that it has something to do with the MAF sensor, but I am not sure how to fix it. I put the stock air filter back on and now I have no problems again. Does anybody have any ideas on how i can fix this so i can put the ram air back on? Thanks
dont know how to solve your issue, but just for the record I haven't heard good things about the "weapon R ram Air intake with jet stream air infusing secret technology ..something something"
but I'd see if you could get your money back, I asked about these when I bought my car and was told
"ZZP, K&N, AEM, INJEN or nothing" the weapon "AAARRRR" is garbagio

hey and welcome to the forums!
When i had my K and N typhoon (before my 2.4 was turbo) it gave me no miss fires. Made the car sound better and a marginal power increase
It did throw a CEL (check engine light) if i drove the car on a rainy day (change air filter code) but it would clear on regular sunny days
I would recomend the typhoon from K and N
Chevrolet Cobalt Cold Air Intake - Chevy - Performance Air Intakes
search the part number in amazon, thats were i bought mine
they say 10-15 hp incrase, but i doubt it. Sounded nicer though
You could also try disconnecting your battery and waiting a minute or two and maybe the computer will figure itself out with the weapon R.
Just remember that if you go turbo later a CAI or SRI will be useless lol
