What do you think about this set-up?

Looking to upgrade my exhaust and was looking at these products. First, a MBE system, 2.5 inch, aluminized b/c i dont really care about it looking shiny. standard magnaflow muffler and an added 18 inch magnaflow resonator.

http://www.mandrelexhaustsystems.com...EXHAUST/Detail

and then for header and downpipe i was thinking about the midlenght setup from ZZP.
http://www.zzperformance.com/cobalt_...=545&catid=155

2.5 catted downpipe. But which size primary would be best for my application? 1.5 or 1.75?

Let me know if you guys have any suggestions/recommendations. Thanks

i heard that alot of people had problems with zzp downpipe blowing off because they dont weld the part where the thread steel is..... they like crimp it there....just what i heard, i would do some more research on the zzp downpipe, i personally bought the clear image header and downpipe and it suppose to show up on thursday

i would go with a lil bit bigger muffler than the "stock" magnaflow one. it will quiet it down just a lil bit but still sound very good w/ a header and dp.

this is interesting, mbe is pretty sweet and a low price...

and damn good deal, h/dp and full exhaust shipped for a little over 780 ish Canadian!

by the way cinci, loving your car, looks amazing without the wing and thats an awesome smoke job and the lights!

I was. I had two people interested in, then apparently they fell off the face of the earth and never said anything else about it. So I guess i'll be keeping it around haha.

so you are saying the increased airflow one? And what about the size of the header? which would be best?

Have you had any problems with it coming apart? I know some people have had problems because apparently they dont weld the whole thing, just crimp at one part.

Do not get aluminized steel unless you want the salted roads in the winter to eat your exhaust up.

i think they all have a straight through flow design... im just talking about a lil bit bigger overall size to the muffler. it will make it just a lil more quiet and cut down on the raspyness a lot! (you can get the part number from the magnaflow site and order it on ebay for pretty cheap) as forthe header, im not exactly sure, but i would say 1.5 would be good so you dont lose to much tq.

well they only offer a magnaflow in a 5x8 inch body and a 6 inch body. and then the borla in 5x8. So you think the 6 inch one would be better for reducing raspyness. I just dont want this setup to sound like **** haha.

5x8 in body but they make different overall lengths, i have seen up to a 22" on a balt(h/dp/3")... you wouldnt need one quite that big, but i would find out how long the "stock" one is and go an 2-4" longer.
